We have had 10 days of perfect attendance throughout the year and earned a pajama party read-a-thon. The kiddos were so great to read and enjoy the day.

Board Game Party
A few weeks ago we earned all of our pebbles for good behavior and chose to have a board game party. It was a blast!
Yes we played pie face. It was a hit. The kids were so great to take turns and to clean up the mess afterwards.
These girls forgot to bring a game so they made up their own. It was so fun!

Spaghetti Towers
At Diamond Ridge Elementary we love STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) activities. This is one we tried as teachers at faculty meeting and LOVED! Building the tallest tower possible with spaghetti noodles and tape may sound easy, but just ask your student, it's not as easy as it looks! Try it at home as a family activity! Our students did wonderfully, although unfortunately, most of them couldn't withstand the weight of their marshmallow toppers.
Saving Fred
Once upon a time poor little Fred the worm was sailing on his boat. He was not wearing his life jacket so when his boat capsized he was in danger! Our students helped Fred get back on top of his boat and into his life jacket. Without using their hands! They did a great job working together, problem solving and learning about the Scientific Method.

Ski Utah
We had so much fun on our ski/snowboard trip to The Canyons at Park City. The students learned a lot and were doing quite well by the end. Pictures will be coming soon, however, here are a few we got:
As a side note: Ski Utah also encourages 5th and 6th grade students to hit the slopes. They offer a passport to visit each of the Utah resorts three times for a one time $35 fee. If you have a 5th or 6th grade student please look into it, or remember for next year! https://www.skiutah.com/passes/passports
